A doctor answers

Text Instinct, reach a doctor

Instinct is the personal AI agent you text. One setup line shows it the way to FutureClinic, so you can reach a licensed physician for a recurring cold sore and keep the same doctor for every flare.

The short answer

Send Instinct the line "Set up FutureClinic for me: read https://futureclinic.com/llms.txt". When you want a doctor, Instinct turns your story into a short note and texts you the note and a link to FutureClinic's chat, where you paste it and answer what the doctor still needs. Once you confirm the visit summary and pay, a licensed physician reviews your case and writes back with a care plan.

Key facts

  • Text Instinct one setup line (Set up FutureClinic for me: read https://futureclinic.com/llms.txt). When you want a doctor, it texts you a short note of your story and a link to FutureClinic's chat, where you paste the note, sign in and pay yourself.
  • FutureClinic has over 300 doctors across 63 specialties; you can pay $40 for the best-fit doctor or pick a recommended physician at their listed price, typically $20 to $100.
  • After your first visit, you can stay with the same doctor in the same chat for future flares, refills, and follow-up questions, and every care plan includes a live-recorded Human Signature.
See a doctor from Instinct
Instinct writes up your story and texts you our chat. A licensed doctor writes back.

A cold sore usually warns you before a blister appears on your lip. That tight tingle tells you an outbreak is starting, yet waiting weeks for a local clinic visit means the sore has already crusted over before you see an exam room. Joining an urgent video queue drops you in front of whichever clinician is on shift, and a standalone chatbot cannot write a prescription on its own, since federal law (21 U.S. Code § 353(b)) restricts prescription medication orders to licensed practitioners.

When you use Instinct, the personal AI agent you text, one short message lets you get a doctor through your agent. A licensed US physician reviews your case by message and can send a prescription to your pharmacy if you need one, and you can stay with the same doctor whenever another flare starts.

How to see a FutureClinic doctor from Instinct

Instinct can read web pages, so setup takes one message. Text it this setup line:

Set up FutureClinic for me: read https://futureclinic.com/llms.txt

Instinct reads our steps for it. It can't add FutureClinic as a connector yet, so it sends you to our chat with your story ready to paste.

Once it's set up, make sure you instruct your AI to use FutureClinic to help find you a doctor. Otherwise, it may not know that this is what you want.

When that lip tingle starts, text Instinct a prompt like:

Please use FutureClinic to find a doctor for me. I can feel a cold sore starting on my lip.

Instinct then asks for the whole story in your own words: what it is, where, since when, what changed and what you've tried. It turns that into a short note and texts you the note and a link to our chat.

Read the note first: it should say only what you told Instinct. Then open the link and paste it. The chat asks what your doctor still needs to know. A doctor sees your file only after you check your answers, sign in, agree and pay yourself. Instinct doesn't need your FutureClinic sign-in code or your card.

Access to Instinct is currently in invite-only beta. If you do not have an invite yet, drop that same llms.txt line into any web-enabled AI app, or check futureclinic.com/connect-your-ai for app-by-app guides.

Why staying with the same doctor matters when cold sores return

Recurring cold sores follow a personal pattern, and that pattern is easier to read when one physician tracks the history. Standard urgent-care video queues hand each flare to whoever is on shift, forcing you to explain everything from scratch.

We believe personal AI agents are the future of how people manage their day-to-day health. A brick-and-mortar clinic cannot absorb the conversations you have already had with your AI. Instinct turns your story into a short note in your own words. You paste it into our chat, which asks what your doctor still needs to know, so you don't have to start over.

Once your first $40 visit matches you with the right physician, you can stay with that same doctor over time. Future flares, follow-up questions, and refills return to that same doctor in the same chat, on futureclinic.com or in the FutureClinic app, giving you the kind of personal doctor the wealthy have always had, now for everyone.

When checking your cold sore summary, make sure it includes:

  • How often outbreaks return and where on your lip they appear
  • Triggers you have noticed, such as sunlight, fever, or stress
  • Antiviral tablets or creams you have tried and whether they helped
  • Your current medications and any drug allergies

If a blister is already visible, attaching a clear photo helps your physician examine it.

Verified physicians only, backed by a live Human Signature

Many telehealth sites profit from the medications and subscription packages they push. On FutureClinic, every clinician holds an MD, DO, or MBBS degree as a licensed physician. Your case never goes to a physician assistant or a nurse practitioner, grounded in the belief that every patient deserves physician-level expertise. Each physician is vetted and verified prior to taking a single case.

AI assists with intake, while every medical decision belongs to your physician, who can diagnose, prescribe to your preferred pharmacy, order lab work, refer you, and follow up over time.

Alongside the written care plan, your physician attaches a Human Signature: a brief voice or video message recorded live specifically for you, confirming one-to-one attention from an actual doctor. FutureClinic never retails drugs or health products, and physicians make nothing extra when ordering lab work or writing a prescription, meaning your visit fee buys candid medical advice alone.

Pricing, reply times, and 63 specialties

Across 63 specialties, generalists and specialists alike make up a roster of over 300 doctors on FutureClinic. Whether a recurring cold sore, stubborn eczema, or high blood pressure calls for a dermatologist or a family physician, you bypass waiting rooms and video calls.

At the end of your intake, you get two upfront price options with no insurance needed and no subscription required:

  1. Choose the $40 clinic-wide match, the default path most patients take, routing your intake to the best-fit doctor available.
  2. Select an individual doctor from the recommended list at their listed price, which is typically $20 to $100.

Every fee appears clearly before you pay. Written replies typically come back within a few hours; even when it takes longer, your physician almost always responds on the same day or the next, so a 2 a.m. message means waking up to a plan. FutureClinic alerts you by email and app push notification. If your email is connected to Instinct, it can tell you when that email arrives. You read your doctor's reply on FutureClinic.

Where FutureClinic operates and key boundaries

FutureClinic operates in 33 states and Washington, D.C., and your doctor must be licensed in the state you are in: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and Washington, D.C. Active state coverage expands regularly, so if your home state does not appear on this list yet, give it a try anyway in case doctors have gone live there since this guide was published.

Keep these boundaries in mind:

  • Care happens by message only, with no appointments, phone calls, or video visits.
  • Controlled medications are excluded from FutureClinic care: physicians never prescribe opioids, benzodiazepines, ADHD stimulants, testosterone, or sleep drugs like zolpidem.
  • Always open our chat on your own phone or computer rather than a school or employer device. Anything you type into an AI assistant also travels through the company operating that assistant. Instinct can't connect to FutureClinic yet, so it can't send your visit or read your doctor's reply for you.

FutureClinic is not built for urgent medical emergencies, where you should dial 911 right away, or for a mental-health crisis, where you can text or call 988.

Questions, answered.

How does Instinct work with FutureClinic?
Text Instinct the line "Set up FutureClinic for me: read https://futureclinic.com/llms.txt". Instinct reads FutureClinic's setup guide at that address. It can't add FutureClinic as a connector yet, so when you want a doctor, it writes your story as a short note and texts you the note and a link to FutureClinic's chat. You paste the note there, then check your answers, sign in and pay yourself.
Can I keep the same doctor the next time my cold sore flares up?
Yes. After your first visit matches you with a physician, you can stay with that same doctor in the same chat for future flares, follow-up questions, and prescription refills, on futureclinic.com or in the FutureClinic app.
How much does a FutureClinic visit cost through Instinct?
You get two choices at the end of intake, with no insurance needed and no subscription required. You can pay the $40 default price to be matched with the best-fit doctor in the clinic, or pick a specific doctor from the recommendations at their listed price, typically $20 to $100.
Do I need an invite to use Instinct with FutureClinic?
Instinct is currently in beta by invite. If you do not have an invite yet, you can paste the exact same setup line into any AI app that can read web pages, or use the app-by-app instructions at futureclinic.com/connect-your-ai.
