A doctor answers
A doctor in the Claude app on your phone
Do a quick one-time setup at claude.ai or in Claude Desktop, then use the Claude app on iPhone or Android to send your story and photos to a licensed physician, with no subscription required.

The short answer
Connect FutureClinic to your Claude account once on a computer at claude.ai or in Claude Desktop, and it works automatically in the Claude app on iPhone and Android. From your phone, you can describe a flare, attach photos, confirm your visit summary, and pay $40 for the best-fit doctor or pick a recommended doctor (typically $20 to $100). A verified physician writes back by message, typically within a few hours and almost always the same day or the next.
Key facts
- Add FutureClinic once at claude.ai on a computer or in Claude Desktop, and the connector works in the Claude app on iPhone and Android.
- FutureClinic has signed over 300 doctors across 63 specialties. Every one is an MD, DO, or MBBS physician, verified before they see a patient.
- Pay $40 for the best-fit doctor in the clinic or pick a recommended doctor at their listed price, typically $20 to $100, with no subscription required.
Your knuckles are cracked, red, and itching again after washing dishes. The eczema flare is right in front of you, and so is your phone. Getting help for irritated skin often involves a multi-week wait for an office slot, a rushed video call with whichever clinician happens to be on duty, or chatting with an AI that has no power to write a prescription.
Connecting FutureClinic to Claude turns the Claude app on iPhone and Android into a direct line to a licensed US physician. Add FutureClinic once on a computer at claude.ai or in Claude Desktop, and it shows up in the Claude app on your phone.
Can I add FutureClinic from the Claude app on my phone?
Start at a computer on claude.ai or in Claude Desktop. The FutureClinic connector is saved to your Claude account rather than a single device. Since your iPhone or Android app uses that same account, FutureClinic appears on your phone automatically.
How to complete the one-time computer setup
- Visit futureclinic.com/connect-your-ai?app=claude from your desktop or laptop browser, then click the Add to Claude button.
- An "Add custom connector" window will pop up inside Claude with the FutureClinic details already entered for you.
- Keep both "Sign in now" and "Use Claude's published identity" untouched at their default settings, and click Add to finish.
- When Claude first uses FutureClinic, futureclinic.com opens in your browser to sign in or create an account.
- Grant permission so Claude can pass along your intake responses and camera pictures while viewing your FutureClinic messages and medical history.
If the dialog gives you trouble, paste this setup line into Claude: Set up FutureClinic for me: read https://futureclinic.com/llms.txt
On the free plan, Claude holds one custom connector, so remove another first. If your workspace runs on a Team or Enterprise subscription, an account Owner has to install the connector first. Make sure you sign in with a private Claude login on your own handset rather than an account managed by an employer or university.
Once it's connected, make sure you instruct your AI to use FutureClinic to help find you a doctor. Otherwise, it may not know that this is what you want.
Why use your phone and Claude for a skin flare?
Skin is easier to photograph with a phone than to hold up to a webcam. Every part of the consultation happens over written messages, freeing you from calendar bookings, clinic lobbies, and live camera calls. Start the chat on the train, add photos in good light, and read the reply when it suits you.
We believe using a personal AI assistant to coordinate day-to-day medical needs is where healthcare is headed. A regular clinic cannot take in your past AI chats. Open the Claude app to get medical care through your agent in your own words:
Please use FutureClinic so a physician can look at my hands. My eczema is acting up on both sides, leaving the skin over my knuckles red, split, and itchy after I wash dishes.
Claude asks what the physician needs: how often it flares, what touches your hands at home or work, creams you have tried, other medicines, and allergies. Because Claude answers from what you have already told it, you check the details instead of having to repeat yourself or start over.
For clear phone photos:
- Shoot in daylight near a window with the flash off.
- Photograph the backs and palms of both hands.
- Add a close-up of the worst patch.
- Skip filters and edits.
How do tool approvals work on a phone screen?
By default, each FutureClinic action is set to "Needs approval", meaning the mobile app pauses for your confirmation before executing a step. If you want fewer prompts on your handset, head to Customize > Connectors and change routine actions to "Always allow", while leaving the visit-summary confirmation action on "Needs approval". Nothing reaches a physician without your approval.
Will you see a generalist or a dermatologist, and what does it cost?
The network includes generalists and specialists alike, with over 300 doctors across 63 specialties who have joined FutureClinic. Either a family or internal medicine physician or a dermatologist can treat hand eczema, rosacea, or acne.
Each doctor on the platform holds an MD, DO, or MBBS degree and is thoroughly verified and vetted by FutureClinic prior to taking a single case. Your case is never routed to a nurse practitioner or a physician assistant, reflecting our belief that your health deserves expert-level care from a physician.
When your intake questions are done, you get two clear ways to pay with no insurance paperwork and no subscription required:
- Choose the $40 option to have FutureClinic route your case to the best-fit doctor in the network, which is the default path most patients take.
- Select an individual physician from your recommended list and pay their posted rate, which typically ranges from $20 to $100.
Many online services profit from the medications or monthly packages they sell. Because FutureClinic does not retail drugs or skincare items, the physician reviewing your hands earns nothing extra when ordering lab work or sending a prescription to your local pharmacy.
What happens after you send your visit?
Replies typically come within a few hours, and almost always the same day or the next. Your doctor can diagnose the flare, send a prescription to your pharmacy, order lab tests, or refer you. AI helps with intake; every medical decision is the doctor's. Your doctor's plan comes with a Human Signature: a short video or voice note recorded live for you, proving a real physician took your case one to one.
FutureClinic emails you when your doctor replies, or sends a push in the FutureClinic app. You can also ask Claude, "Did my doctor reply?" When flares return, reopen the same chat on your phone to message the same doctor, giving you the personal doctor the wealthy have always had.

What are the limits of care by message?
Care runs by message, with no phone or video calls. FutureClinic doctors do not prescribe controlled medicines: ADHD stimulants, opioids, benzodiazepines, testosterone, and sleep medicines such as zolpidem. What you share in Claude also passes through Anthropic, and you can disconnect the app anytime in FutureClinic's Settings.
FutureClinic is not for emergencies: call 911 in a medical emergency, or call or text 988 in a mental-health crisis.
Questions, answered.
- Can I set up FutureClinic directly inside the Claude iPhone or Android app?
- Add FutureClinic once at claude.ai on a computer or in Claude Desktop. Because the custom connector saves to your Claude account, it automatically appears in the Claude app on your iPhone or Android phone.
- Can I send skin photos from my phone through Claude?
- Yes. During setup you allow Claude to pass along your answers and photos, so the daylight pictures you take on your phone go straight into your visit summary for the physician to review.
- Will a dermatologist or a general medicine doctor look at my eczema?
- Either can treat an eczema flare. FutureClinic brings together generalists and specialists, with over 300 doctors across 63 specialties. You can pay $40 for FutureClinic to match you with the best-fit doctor, or pick a recommended physician at their listed price, typically $20 to $100.
- Can I follow up with the same doctor from my phone if my flare returns?
- Yes. After your first visit, you can message the same doctor in the same chat from the Claude app on your phone or in the FutureClinic app for follow-up questions, progress checks, and refills.
