Connect FutureClinic to Codex
Tell your AI what is going on, in your own words. It asks what your doctor needs to know, you pay on our page, and a real doctor writes back.
Add FutureClinic to Codex
Run this line in your terminal. Codex then opens your browser so you can sign in.
codex mcp add futureclinic --url https://mcp.futureclinic.com/mcpWhat happens when you sign in
The first time, your AI app opens futureclinic.com in your browser. Sign in or create your account, and agree to let the app send your answers and photos and read your chats and health record. Some apps then show an “allow access” screen from WorkOS, our sign-in provider. That’s expected; approve it if you started the setup.
When you want a doctor
Codex uses FutureClinic only when you name it at the start. Start your first message with this line, then say what is going on.
use FutureClinic, I want a doctor to look at thisIf Codex says FutureClinic isn’t available, start a new Codex session with the same first message.
Hearing back from your doctor
We email you, and send a push if you have our app, when your doctor replies or asks a question. You can also ask your AI “Did my doctor reply?”
What to expect
- Leave your approval settings as they are. Codex asks you before FutureClinic sends your visit summary to a doctor, and before every step that cancels, restores, starts over or sends your questions, or takes the doctor’s plan as your answer. Answering a question never asks. A setup that never asks can’t do those steps.
- Send your visit from a normal Codex session and approve when it asks. With codex exec, Codex can’t ask you, so it cancels those steps by itself and the AI may say you cancelled. You didn’t: open Codex as usual to finish them.
