About me

Dr. Jay Nguyen is a board-certified dermatologist. Originally from Chattanooga, TN, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University–DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital and his dermatology residency at the Kansas City University-GME Consortium/Advanced Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery–Orlando Program, where he served as sole Chief Resident during his final year. During residency, he completed additional training at the NIH and Massachusetts General Hospital. Before medical school, Dr. Nguyen worked as a licensed manicurist in a salon that offered skin, hair, and nail services. He witnessed how appearance impacted quality of life which helped shape his interest in dermatology, a field that marries his prior experiences with his passion for medicine. Dr. Nguyen enjoys caring for patients of all ages. He takes pride in creating a welcoming space for patients, educating them about their diagnoses, and providing high-quality, patient-centered care that thoughtfully incorporates a combination of lifestyle measures, over-the-counter cosmeceuticals, prescription therapies, and in-office procedures. His interests include general and complex medical dermatology, chronic inflammatory skin disorders, and nail disorders. Committed to medical education, Dr. Nguyen enjoys teaching students and residents. He serves on the Derm In-Review Advisory Council, where he develops content for residents and early-career dermatologists. He serves on the National Faculty for the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners, writing and reviewing content across all disciplines for licensure exams. In addition, he is a primary contributor and maintainer of Dermki, an educational resource used by more than 13,000 dermatology learners. Dr. Nguyen is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and a member of the Physician Society of Central Florida. Outside of practice, Dr. Nguyen enjoys CrossFit, traveling, and trekking. He is also committed to volunteerism and regularly participates in international mission trips.

How it works

My AI assistant gathers. Then I take over.

1

Start chatting, free

Send me a message about whatever's on your mind. My AI assistant gathers the details and sends me your case to review.

2

Get the care you need

Once I've reviewed your case, I reply myself with a clear plan, whether that's a diagnosis, a prescription, or some labs.

3

Keep me on hand

Many patients start with one thing to see how it feels. Some upgrade to a monthly membership to keep me on hand for unlimited care.

What is a personal doctor?

A personal doctor handles all of your care: prescriptions, everyday advice, diagnoses, even keeping you on track. You wouldn't book an appointment to ask whether that product you saw on TikTok is worth it. You'd just message your personal doctor.

A doctor you trust, in your pocket, through your day-to-day life.

Care when you need it

Get medical help quickly, often same-day, not weeks from now.

Follow-ups included

Text your doctor about your concern and follow up freely, all in one conversation.

Never rushed

Thoughtful, detailed conversations that fit your life, not five-minute visits.

No surprise bills

One clear price, shown before you start. Pay per conversation, subscribe only if you want to.

Common questions

What can I message you about?

Anything you'd normally see a doctor for: symptoms, prescriptions and refills, lab results, a second opinion, or a question you're just not sure warrants a visit. If something needs to be seen in person, I'll tell you honestly and help you find the right care.

How quickly will you reply?

Usually the same day. My AI assistant gathers the details up front to save us both time, but it never gives medical advice. Every diagnosis, prescription, and treatment response comes directly from me.

How will I know it's really you?

My responses include a Human Signature: a short recorded video or audio message from me, so you know it's genuinely your doctor and not someone acting on my behalf.

Is it a subscription? Can I cancel?

Membership is monthly and you can cancel anytime. Not ready to commit? You can also get one-off access to talk through a single topic, with no subscription.
